I would say that the Report on the Barnhouse Effect is an example of postmodernism because of the use of irony with a serious topic.
This text tells the story of professor Barnhouse who develops telekinesis. When the government finds out about this, they try to make him into a weapon, but in the end, he ends up destroying their weapons in an attempt to make the world a better place.
